THE CHILDREN’S GARDEN CIRCLE SHOW

yu e Flower Show staged by the Wanganui Children’s Garden Circle yesterday was a triumph for the children who took part in it, and an achievement for those adults whe have laboured for so long to make the show a possibility. The Flower Show was of a remarkably high order, but it is as well to remember that the Circle and its supporters are engaged not only in promoting the Flower Show, but in an ali-the-year-round effort of promoting the interest of the children in gardening and in developing .heir love of the beautiful, particularly as it is represented by flowers. Not only are the children encouraged to take pride in gardening, but they are also stimulated in their efforts to produce ingenious gardening tools, to care for seeds, and to set cut flowers artistically. The whole of the effort was highly commendable.
