REDUCED AUSTRALIAN QUOTA Received July 18, 9.22 p.m. SYDNEY, July 18. The Prime' Minister announced today that Australia’s sugar export quota during the year beginning September 1 will be 4127 metric tons or 1 per cent. less. This compares with a reduction in foreign countries’ quotas averaging nearly 15 per cent. He pointed out that Australian producers, despite this minor Sacrifice, would assuredly benefit by a material advance in free market prices f?.r exceeding the value of the 4127 metric tons at current prices.
