Air-Marshal Sir Edward Ellington, Inspector-General of the R.A.F., v.’hc completed his report for the Commonwealth Government on the development of Australia’s Air Force, sailed unexpectedly by the Awatea to-night for New Zealand without, as originally intended, visiting Brisbane an.. Darwin. Sir Edward explained that he haa received orders from the British Minister for Air, Sir Kingsley Wood, to proceed to Canada, where he will join the special British mission which is going to Canada to encourage the manufacture there of bombers for the Royal Air Force.
