GERMAN ARRESTED
ESPIONAGE SUSPECTED NEAR VILLERS BRETONNEUX (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) Received July 18, 7.55 p.m. LONDON, July 17. The Daily Telegraph’s Paris corresnondent says that a German, Oscar Bruckmann, was arrested to-day at Corbie, He had been staying recently at Villers Bretonneux, where the Australian War Memorial is to be unveiled by the King. He is suspected of espionage, as he received large sums of money although he was not working.
