The Burgos correspondent of The Tinies states that rebel Spain is beflagged in celebration of the first of three national holidays in order to commemorate the second anniversary of the outbreak of the civil war. A message from Barcelona states that the Foreign Ministc* Senor del Vayo, declared that the loyalists are entering the third year with more than confidence in victory and with the decision to struggle to the las* man for the last piece of Spanish soil. A Saragossa message states that reports which are partly confirmed from Madrid indicate that General Franco’s big anniversary push to Sagunto is continuing successfully. Rebels under General Varela and headed by a mechanised Italian division report the capture of Barracas, Albentosa, San Augustin, Pina, and Alcolas, breaking through for five to nine miles on a front of 22 miles, exposing Sagunto, which will be fiercely defended. A coastal column is now 12 miles from Sagunto. REBEL CABINET DECORATIONS AWARDED GOERING AND COUNT CIANO BURGOS, July 17. CROSSING TO SPAIN THOUSANDS OF ARABS. MAY REPLACE ITALIANS. LONDON, July W. Reports from Algiers and Gibraltar State that thousands of Arabs are crossing from Spanish Morocco to Algeciras and Malaga. Possibly it is intended that they Shall replace the Italian volunteers if ♦.he latter are withdrawn from Spain.
