Okoia Tennis Club Dance. The annual dance of the Okoia Tennis Club and presentation of trophies will take place at the Okoia Hall on Thursday evening, June 9. White Horse Inn. The interior of the Drill Hall will assume the appearance of a tavern on the night of June 9 for the White Horse Inn dance, the proceeds of which are in aid of the Plunket Society. Dancers from all parts of the district, remembering the success of the dances arranged by the Plunket committee, have made a point of dating in the 9th of June.

WEDDING KEDIT—MATTOCK A frock of magnolia satin wit It shired corsage, long sleeves finished with buttons, and long train edged with hand-made French rucking, was worn by Mavis Madge, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Mattock, of Gonville, for her marriage to Ronald Edward, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Redit, of Gonville, which took place recently. The bride's veil of embroidered silk tulle was held in place with a coronet of orange blossoms and formed a second train. She carried an arm-sheaf of pink cactus dahlias, cream and white roses and carnations with fine maiden-hair ' fern. The ceremony, which took place at the Gonville Gospel Hall, was performed by Mr. William Carswell, Miss H. Toohill playing the wedding music. The floral decorations were in a pink and cream colour scheme. Pink taffeta frocks with redingotes of pink silk net and coronets of pink flowers and silver leaves, were worn : by the bridesmaids, Misses Jean Mattock and Elvie Edwards. Their shower bouquets were of toning charm dahlias, roses, carnations and chrysanthemums with trails of fern and ribbon streamers. Babsie Ruegg, as flower girl, wore I a pale blue taffeta frock, coronet of ' blue flowers and silver leaves and ; carried a pink and blue posy. Mr. Mattock escorted his daughter. . Mr. Walter Wooding, of Westmere, 1 was best man and Mr. Stan. Redit, brother of the bridegroom, was groomsman. At the reception held at the Ritz, ! the bride’s parents received the ' guests, Mrs. Mattock wearing a rust - ' brown, brown hat and fur stole. Her 1 coloured ensemble trimmed in dark • posy was of flame flowers and red berries, with autumn leaves and fern. The bridegroom’s mother wore a J brown tailored costume, brown velour hat and fur stole. She held a posy in gold and apricot tonings.
