BILLIARDS EXHIBITION
PROFESSIONAL CHAMPION OF NEW ZEALAND CLARK McCON ACHY’S VISIT Professional champion billiards player of New Zealand, Clark McConachy, will play an exhibition game ,of billiards to-night at the Cosmopolitan Club, when he will concede 700 points in 1000 to Mr B. Hendricks, a well-known local amateur. Mr. Hendricks is a player of high standard and capable of producing many useful breaks, so his supporters have visions of the Wanganui man giving McConachy a great run this evening. McConachy has also proved himself a dazzling snooker player, and
following the billiards exhibition he and Mr. Hendricks will play a game of snooker, the Wanganui player being in receipt of seven blacks, representing a start of 49 points. It is realised that a handicap of seven blacks is a big hurdle for even such a brilliant player as McConachy, and it will be interesting to see if he can make up his leeway. At the conclusion of these games McConachy will give a half-hour demonstration of playing difficult shots with ease, in addition to displaying many of the trick shots in his repertoire.
