SPICER HANGED
SENTENCE FOR >H RDFR OF (HILI) CARRIED Ol T. SYDNEY. May 26. Alfred Spicer, aged 65 years, who was found guilty of murdering r x-year-old girl, Marcia Hayes, in December last year, was hanged this morning. A police dog. Tess, was reported to have played a major pari in solving the mystery of the child’s (Ikrnp-nar-ance. A large party of searcher.- was unable to locate the child when Tvs. after being allowed to sniff the child’s clothing at her home, set out on the trail across the p-’ddorks and finally located the body in a hag in a creek near the Hawkesbury River. The child had been outraged and strangled.
