WANGANUI ASSOCIATION CLUB COMPETITIONS The good public patronage accorded the teams on Cook's Gardens last Saturday and the friendly barracking greatly encouraged the teams to give of their best. A continuation of such support would do much to assist reviving interest in the code and towards raising the .standard of play. With the commencement of an interprovincial club competition with the teams of the Manawatu Association on June 11, it is anticipated that greater interest among followers ol the game will be aroused. To-morrow’s match on Cook’s between Eastbrooke and Marist should be evenly contested with a close finish likely. Thistle will meet Rangers on the Hill, but can hardly hope for success so long as it continues to field half a team. In the junior grade Marist and Tech. Old Boys will make their first appearance on Cook’s Gardens, and their performance will be watched with great interest. Toe fixtures for to-morrow are: — Seniors at 3 p.m.—Marist v.
