RANGITIKEI COUNTY
CR. K. W. DALRYMPLE REAPPOINTED AS CHAIRMAN The annual meeting of the Ran ;i--tikei County Council was held at noon yesterday, Cr. K. W. Dalrymple presiding. The annual report was read, and on the motion of Cr. W. Doole, seconded by Cr. J. .Brice, the chairman wathanked for his report, which adopted. Cr. Dalrymple then vacated the chair, and the clerk, Mr H. H. Richardson, called for nominations for the position ot the chairman for the ensuing year. Cr. A. S. Coleman, in nominatui t Cr. Dalrymple as chairman, said thz.l for many years Cr. Dalrymple ha. filled the position very well. C: Doole seconded the nomination. No other nominations were forthcoming and Cr. Dalrymple was duly elected chairman. The chairmar thanked councillors for the honou: conferred upon him. He regretted noi having spent more time with th. council but serving on the Commis sion had taken up a certain amour. of time. He hoped in future to carry out his work as chairman in a satis factory manner. Crs. V. Smith, A. S. Coleman am R. G. Dalziell were appointed a temporary finance committee. Cr. W. Doole was elected tlv county’s representative on the Disiric Highways Council.
