EDITORIAL OPINION
Sir, —The public opinion column of Friday’s ‘ Chronicle” revealed another narrow-minded writer of drivelling piffle. Governments always will and always have been the target of their opponents’ uncomplimentary remarks, but for Mr. Nash to attack a leading newspaper from a public platform showed very bad taste, but no doubt it was just prompted by his worried childish brain. Now your correspondent "Had Some” has penned an epistle which shows the meagre extent of his intelligence. He blames our late governing body for depre.'sion, and praises the Labour Government for the present prosperity. I wonder if he will be so free to blame Mr. Savage and his colleagues for the next depression, which overseas economists inform us will develop immediately the mad rush of rearmament manufacture has been completed.—l am, etc., "MORE SENSE."
