FEILDING A. AND P. SHOW. ALTERATION OF DATES PROPOSED. The general committee of the Feilding A. and P. Association is to consider a proposal that in future the annual show be held on Friday and Saturday instead of on Tuesday and Wednesday during the first week in February. The proposal, which was advanced by the Feilding Chamber of Commerce, was placed before the meeting of the association on Friday night by Mr. G. J. Fitzpatrick, who stated that now that Saturday was observed as the weekly half-holiday, the holding of People's Day' on the Wednesday meant that the association required to appeal to shopkeepers to observe a half-holiday on the Wednesday. This was inconvenient as there were quite enough statutory holidays and half-holidays already, although the business people had always been ready to meet the wishes of the association and close their shops for People’s Day. The meeting agreed to recommend the proposal to the general committee for its consideration. PERSONAL. The death occurred in the Palmerston North Hospital on Saturday of Mr. Leonard Kreegher, who was found deeply unconscious in an outhouse at the rear of a Feilding hotel late on Thursday night. Deceased, it is thought, slipped on concrete to suffer a severe injury to his head. He was a freezing works employee and a returned soldier. MEN’S HOCKEY. On Saturday, the Marton Kia Ora men's hockey team was defeated at Feilding by Feilding Wanderers, the score being three goals to two. For the winners C. Fisher (2), and T.
