Mr T. R. Dix, of Wanganui, at a meeting of the Whanganui Historical Committee held on Monday evening, was elected to represent the Waitotara County Council on the committee. Mr W. Morrison, chairman of the Waitotara County Council, has reconsidered his decision not to stand as a member for the Waitotara Riding, and at yesterday's meeting of the Waitotara County Council gratification was expressed that Mr Morrison was to offer himself for re-election. The hope was expressed that at next meeting he would be re-elected chairman.
