WANGANUI UNION VARIOUS MATTERS DISCUSSED A meeting of the Management Committee of the Wanganui Metropolitan Rugby Union was held last evening. The president, Mr J. Moye, was m the chair, and present were the following: Messrs H. Whiting, C. Stevyart, J. C. Ward, J. Delves, W. Deerness, A. Graham, C. Clarke, F. Thomson, W. R. McElwain and A. Lockett. The Wainui-a-rua Union pointed out in a letter that several players resident in their area were participating in games with a Wanganui city club. It was also stated that permission had been granted for only four players to play in city games and that in future no further permission was to be granted owing to another club having been formed in the Wainui-a-rua Union's district. The letter was received and the city club concerned is to be advised that players cannot, represent it unless they get their clearance from the Wainui-a-rua Union. A letter was received from the Rangitikei Rugby Union, which stated, inter alia: "Al. a recent meeting of delegates from the Taihape and Rangitikei Unions relative to the Moye competitions, the following resolution was passed: ‘That this meeting ot delegates of Rangitikei and Taihape recommends that points gained in the first round shall not be carried forward to the second round, but used only for grading the clubs and that all clubs start off on an even tooting in the second round of the competitions between the "A" and "B" grade teams.’ " After consideration it was decided that it. was to late to move in the matter this season, and to adhere lu the original decision arrived at between the three uniona-conccrncd. Mr G. 11. Pownall, of Wanganui, factory representative in New Zea land for Tuke’s footballs, Sydney, has presented a Ranfurly junior football for use by the boys in special matches that they may play. At the meeting of tne junior management committee, when the letter embodying the offer was received, gratification was expressed. A letter of apology was received from the Ratana Club for their nonappearance in their junior match on Saturday last. The letter was received, and the Ratana Club is to be reminded and the serious nature of the breach pointed out. JI MOR SEVEN-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT On Saturday next, commencing ai 1.45 p.m., a junior seven-a-side tournament will be held at Williams Park. This is under the control of the Junior Management Board, and entries close with the secretary, Mr C. S. Swan, at 5 p.m. on Friday. It is expected that at least one team from each junior club will participate in this tournament. The winning club will receive a trophy consisting of jersey, shorts and stockings. TOUR OF AUSTRALIA INTERNATIONAL MATCHES THE ITINERARY ANNOUNCED SYDNEY, May 10. Dates for the international matches against the All Blacks were finally decided at a meeting of the New South Wales Rugby Union Council

The All Blacks fixtures are as follows: July 16 v. New South Wales, at Sydney; July 23, v. Australia, at Sydney; July 30, v. Queensland, at Brisbane; August 6, v. Australia, at Brisbane; August 13, v. Australia, at Sydney. I Under the programme it is arranged that there will be no clash with a big fixture of the Rugby League in view of the amended itinerary adopted by the Rugby League last night or a New Zealand Rugby League team to tour Austra* lia.
