■ ♦ SITTING AT WANGANUI MISCELLANEOUS CASES The Wanganui Magistrate’s Court sat yesterday. Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M., presided. The following cases were dealt with:— For failing to keep a motor vehicle to the left Jackson Dalzell was fined £3. with costs 13s and witnesses’ expenses £2 5s 6d. Defendant was involved in an accident. William Norfolk Goss, for riding a cycle at night without a light, was ordered to pay costs only, 10s. John Meredith Pearson, for driving along Marangai Flat in a manner deemed to be dangerous to the public, was lined £3, with costs 10s. Bernard Smith Britton, for failing to give way to traffic on the right in Victoria Avenue, was fined £l, with costs 10s. For driving a motor-car in Somme Parade in a dangerous manner, Russell Clifton Partridge was fined £3, ( with costs 10s. It was stated by Constable R. Hughes that defendant’s speed was approximately 60 m.p.h.
