SYDNEY WEDDING OF WANGANUI INTEREST

MADE—BOND A wedding of interest in Wanganui was celebrated at St. John’s Church, Sydney, on April 26 at 7.30 p.m., when Miss Brenda Bond, younger daughter of Mrs. M. Bond, Wanganui, was married to Mr. Noel Victor Wade, eldest son of Captain and Mrs. W. J. Wade, of Cremorne. I The bride chose for her gown shell pink angel skin lace made on classical lines with long train and high neck line, with a sprig of orange blossom on each shoulder, and she wore a lovely hand-made Honitan lace veil which fell from a rose petal Juliet cap, and carried a bouquet of roses, carnations and cyclamen. The veil was lent by Mrs. Louis Scott and worn on the 18th ocacsion by a bride. The matron of honour was Mrs. 1 Reginald Maisey (sister of the bride) and Miss Eileen Wade (sister of the bridegroom) was the bridesmaid, who wore Venetian coatees with deep powder blue georgette frocks made with shirred bodices and full-shirred skirts, and carrying shower bouquets of pink camellias, dahlias and carnations. Their hats were of stiffened tulle, falling to shoulder length, and top knots of pink camellias. The I flower girls, Pamela Heron and ■ Valerie Luke, wore early Victorian j frocks of blue georgette and carried I baskets of rosebuds and forget-me-j nots. j Mrs. Bond, mother of the bride, I wore royal blue and silver lace with • figured taffeta coat and small hat and I veil to tone. The bridegroom’s mother chose a Chantilly lace gown over pink taffeta, black and pink feathered toque. The reception was held at Elizabeth Bay House where Mr. and Mrs. Noel Wade received many congratulatory messages from England and New Zealand friends. The bride left wearing a dinner gown of black and gold taffeta and I smart black evening hat and veil, and ' gold accessories. The honeymoon | will be spent in Tasmania.
