RIF LE CLUB. The first association inter-club match of the season was fired in the hall last Saturday night when Municipal defeated the local club after an exciting match. For Wangaehu. J. Last week's bogey match resulted in a win for Mrs. Groshinski, who won on the count back from Miss A. Castles. The best cards were:—Mrs. Groshinski 5 down. Miss A. Castles 5 down. Miss D. Castles 7 down, Mrs. W. Baldwin 7 down. Miss M. Bly th 8 down. Next Thursday a flag match will be played. The draw is:—Mrs. Olsen v. Mrs. Hartley, Mrs. Connors v. Mrs. C. Baldwin. Mrs. O’Leary v. Mrs. Mackintosh, Mrs. Jones v. Miss M. Blyth. Miss A. Castles v. Mrs. Honeyman; Mrs. Marumaru v. Mrs. Fitchet; Mrs. W. Baldwin v. Miss V. Groshinski; Miss D. Castles v. Miss B. Baldwin; Mrs. Grant v. Mrs. Groshinski. Any player not included in the draw will be matched on the links. President v. Vice-President. The men’s match resulted in a win for the presidents team by 2 matches. The following are the results, the president’s team being mentioned first in each case:—President C. Baldwin halved with vice-president R. Charter is, R. Heinold defeated J. V. Blyth, J. S. Grant defeated R. Blyth. F. Groshinski defeated A. Olsen. C. Connors lost to S. Parr. S. Holmes defeated P. Jones: W. B. Wilson defeated G. Hartley: O. B. Hawken lost to J. Paki; B. Marumaru lost to W. Baldwin: C. Honeyman defeated T. Cracroft: A. Duke lost to H. Hiroti. A feature of the match was the new course record of 76 established by M. B. Wilson, who carded 40 for the first 9 and 36 for the second, to break his own previous record of 78. Members are reminded that entries for the W. Baldwin Coronation Cup mixed foursomes must be made at the clubhouse before 10 a.m.. Sunday 15th. Inst., when the draw will be made and the match played immediately afte.wards.
