ETHIOPIA AND LEAGUE
PAYMENT OF ARREARS FORESTALLING CHALLENGE MOVE BY SELASSIE GENEVA, April 29. Haile Selassie has sent a cheque for about £454 in settlement of Abyssinia’s arrears of payments to the League of Nations in the hope of forestalling an attempt to challenge Abyssinia’s right of membership. The Secretariat has refrained from registering acceptance of the sum pending study of the situation.
