STRANDED ON REEF

QUEENSLAND COASTAL VESSEL. POSITION SERIOUS. Received April 29, 10.20 p.m. BRISBANE, April 29. The coastal motorship Bringera (919 tons) is stranded on Great Barrier reef. She has a heavy list to port and her forward deck is awash. Her position is regarded as serious. Her ten passengers have been landed safely and the cargo is being unloaded. The Bringera trades between Brisbane, Maryborough, Mackay and Townsville.
