The New Zealand wrestling champion, Lofty Blomfield, who made his first appearance since his return from the United States, was accorded a most enthusiastic reception when he entered the ring at the town hall. His opponent was Abe Yourist, of thcUnited States, who was defeated by Blomfield in the last of eight tenminute rounds by a submission fall, which the New Zealander gained by means of his favourite hold, the octopus clamp.
