MEETING CONCLUDES WAITAKA IN WINNING VEIN ( Per Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, April 19. The Riverton Racing Club's Easter meeting concluded to-day in fine, warm weather, the track being in excellent order. I. Prendeville, driver of Overproof in the Ohai Trot, was fined £5 for careless driving. The totalisator handled £21,208 10s to-day, compared with £16,813 10s for the third day last year, an increase of £4395. The total for the three days was £79,083, compared with £66,318 last year, an increase of £12,765. Results:— President's Hack.—3/4 Peony Rose (J. W. Jennings) 1, 12/12 Cone Peak 7.0 (W. G. Horne) 2, 1/2 Great Pal (J. Dooley) 3. Also: 2/1 Western Song, 9/9 Dissemble, 11/11 Rompalong 8.3, 7/7 Volo Dale, 5/6 Valantua, 4/7 Flame Queen, 6/5 Sheeny, 8/8 Gay Vixen, 12/13 Brilliant Boa 7.2, 10/10 Mazamarch. Three-quarters of a length: head. Valantua was fourth. Time, 1.14 1-5. Wakatipu Trot.—l/2 Glen Guy (J. Walsh) 1, 7/7 Abel (M. Maconnell) 2, 1/2 Ghandi (M. Kerr) 3. (First and third horses were bracketed). Threequarters of a length; one and a-quar-ter lengths. Time, 3.29. Fiord Handicap.—l/1 Waitaka (J. W. Jennings) 1, 5/3 Amelita 7.11 (W. J. Ellis) 2, 6/7 Ocean Singer (H. Phillips) 3. Also: 2/2 Paladino 8.3, 4/5 Surge 7.0, 7/6 Salient Knight, 3/4 Sailing Lady. Neck; length and a-quar-ter. Salient Knight was fourth. Time, 1.39 1-5.
