QUEEN CARNIVAL. Residents are reminded of the grand opening of the Queen Carnival to be held in the Town Hall to-night, when the three nominated candidates will be presented to the public. A most enjoyable night is assured and it la hoped the public will support this most worthy object of improvements to the District Hall. THE NEW TOLL LINE. General satisfaction is being expressed at the intention of the Post and Telegraph Department to provide a direct line to Palmerston North, which will eliminate delays in service. PERSONAL. Mr. and Mrs. G. L. K. Drew have returned to Sanson after the Easter vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McLeod have returned to their home, after some days spent as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. McLeod at Okoia. Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Kent, who have been visitng the former’s parents at Pongaroa, have returned. Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Reeve, who spent the Easter vacation at Moanaroa, have also returned to Sandon.
