MORE HELPERS NEEDED

Poppy Day, when the Returned Soldiers' Association makes its annual appeal for funds to help former soldiers and their dependents, will be held on Wednesday next, April 20. The Victoria League, under whose auspices the street collection is being organised, need a few more helpers for this worthy cause. Positions and streets have been allotted, but helpers are wanted for the hours from 2 to 4 p.m. for McGruer’s corner and Hallenstein's corner, also for the following streets: River Bank, Bell Street, Harrison Street, Guyton Street, and Victoria Avenue. Will those willing to assist please get in touch with Miss M. Newcombe?
