COLLIE CLUB TRIALS The eighth annual Kawhatau Collie Club trials were held on the property of Mr. Guy Bramley in fine weather, there being a very large attendance of the public. The club's thanks are due to the ladies’ committee for the excellent lunch and afternoon tea provided on the three days of the trials, also to Mr. W. P. Shaw, who kindly lent the sheep for the occasion. Mr. F. Cotterell, Moawhango, kindly acted as judge. Results;— Class 1, Huntaway (club's cup), Total Points 45.—E. Siddle’s Joe 40 points 1, E. Wright's Mate 39J 2, H. Harris' Tyke 39 3, J. Boon's Glen 38 4. Class 2, Head and Yard (Goodwin Cup). Total Points 60.—F. England's Don 53 1, H. “Harris’ Gile 48 2, A. Cleghorn’s Sweep 45 3, F. England’s Scott 44 4.

Class 3, All-round Event (Ladies’ Cup), Total Points 50.—E. Wright's Mate 414 1, R. McLean’s Mack 40 2, G. Ferguson’s Rock 3. Dickinson Cup.—F. England (Hunterville).

Bailey Cup.—K. Deighton (Kawhatau).

G. Bramley's Special.—J. Reilly and H. Hawkins equal.

Fastest Head.—N. Miller. Club’s Special, Class 3. —G. Clarke. Club's Special, Class I.—K. Deighton 1, A. Wright 2. Club’s Special, Class 2.—A. Whiteman 1, L. Roache and R. Bland equal

Sheep Guessing.—A. Cleghorn. At the conclusion of the trials a dance was held in the Oddfellows’ Hall. Delightful music was supplied by the Sundowners’ Orchestra, and a most enjoyable time was spent by everyone.
