UNEASINESS RENEWED
CZECHOSLOVAKIAN MINORITY THE QUESTION OF UNION LONDON, March 31. The Australian Associated Press says that there is a renewal of uneasiness over Czechoslovakia. It is feared that the minorities question may not be long delayed and that the time has passed when Mr Chamberlain’s proposed concessions will suffice. Well-informed quarters consider that the Sudeten Deutsch will either declare for a union with the Reich or demand a plebiscite on the question of union, resulting in an overwhelmingly favourable vote. PERMITTED TO LAND AUSTRIANS IN BRITAIN LONDON, March 31. Sir Samuel Hoare stated in the House of Commons that 1317 Austrians had been permitted to land in Britain between March 1 and 29. Sixty-one had been refused admittance.
