“FAIRY COBBLER’’ RETURNS TO HUT AFTER HOLIDAY SPENTJN SOUTH Dear Wendy, -May I come into the Hut? It is your “Fairy Cobbler.’’ 1 am in Standard 111 now. I have teen for a trip to South Island. I went to the Public Works Department camps. We had rain on only three days while I was there. I had a swim in the sea three times a day; one in the morning, in the afternoon and after tea. 11. was glorious. I sometimes had a swim in a creek. I went as far as Christchurch alone and then to Parnascs with a friend. I went the rest of the way with mother. I must close now'. Love.—From “FAIRY COBBLER,” Wanganui. How lucky you were, dear, to take such a lovely holiday. The South Island is very beautiful, isn’t it? Howfortunate you were to be near the sea. Bathing in the briney is great fun, Isn’t it?
