WESTMERE BRANCH The Westmere branch held their monthly meeting at Mrs. Birch's residence on March 29. The Creed was read and apologies were received from Mesdames R. Brown, Dickinson, C. B. Laird, McMinn and Miss E. Brown. The minutes of the last meeting were then read and confirmed. A motion of sympathy was passed for the relatives of those concerned . the Ratana train accident, member, standing in silence. A message of sympathy was asked to be conveyed py'Mrs. C. B. Laird in her misfortune. A, ‘'bring-and-buy” stall did brisk bustness the funds of the W.D. benefiting by a few pounds and also three donations were given. Three competitions were held, the winners being Mrs. D. Preston, Mrs. Pratt and Mrs. Penwarden. The meeting closed with afternoon tea.
