NEW APPOINTMENT MADE I I 1 SUPERVISOR OF BANANA DISTRIBUTION f Per Pieia Auaociatlon. ] WELLINGTON, March 30. The appointment of Mr. A. Turner as the supervisor of banana distribution under the Internal Marketing Division of the Primary Products Marketing Department was announced oy the Minister of Marketing, Hon. W. Nash, in an interview this evening. In making the appointment Mr. Nash said that very careful consideration had been given to the qualifications of applicants and it was felt, in view of Mr. Turner’s experience in tne handling of the Samoan banana scheme during the past 12 months,' that he was not only well known ana favourably received by the trade throughout New Zealand, but was also fully qualified on account of his ex perience for carrying out the Government’s proposed banana marketing scheme.

Mr. Turner will commence duty on March 31 and will in future be resident at Wellington.
