BURN CL'P MATCH ST. JOHN'S HOLD TROPHY. The St. John’s Bowling Club was successful in defending the Hum Cup yesterday afternoon from a challenge by the Marton Club by 25 points to 14. The visitors started off with a three but St. John’s then scored on five successive heads to lead 10—3. A single to Marton was followed by 2—3 I—2 to the holders, who thus Jed 18—4 on the 11th. head. The visitors scored on four out of the next six heads, St. John’s obtaining two singles Io make the score 20—14. At. the finish of the 20th. head the score was 22—14 and St. John’s scored a three on the final head to win 25—14. The teams were: Marton.—Bland, Miles, Hawkins,' Cuming.
