SANDON

FOOTBALL CU B MEETING The annual meeting of the Sandon Football Club was held in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening, and the poor attendance did not promise well lor the coming season. The secretary, Mr. K. Cockburn, submitted the balance-sheet, which was adopted. A communication from the Sandon Hall Committee asked that the club appoint three delegates to attend a meeting to be held shortly, to finalise proposals in connection with the alterations to the eastern wall of the main hall. The general opinion of members seemed to be that the eastern wall referred to in the letter should be repaired in its standing position. Mr. Bowater stated that in his opinion the front of the hall was in just as bad a state of repair as the eastern wall, and he moved that delegates he instructed to support proposal No. 3, that the wall be repaired in its standing position. Messrs. K. Cockburn, P. M. Gedye and E. J. Bowater were elected the club’s delegates.
