Dominion Convention as a delegate for Wanganui district. Mrs. G. V. Cooke, who has been on a holiday to Christchurch and Wellington. has returned home. Lady Richards, Miss Richards and Masters Richards, of Fiji, were visitors to Wanganui last week. Miss B. Copley was a Wanganui visitor to Wellington for the weekend. • • • « Mrs. Breed has returned from visiting her mother, Mrs. Chappell, Eltham. • • ■ • Mr. and Mrs. Garney Spooner, No. 3 Line, were visitors to Wellington for the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. K. L. Cook, Wellington, are visiting Wanganui. Mrs. Bevege and Miss Z. Bevege have returned home after spending a holiday in Auckland. * * * * Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Jamieson, of Lower Hutt, spent the week-end in Wanganui, and were staying with Mr. and Mrs. J. Clark, Kawatiri Avenue. Miss M. Corby, the New Zealand representative cricketer, who has been granted an extra year at the Wellington Training College to specialise in physical education, is spending the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Corby, Gonville Avenue. Miss Mollie McGwinn, late of Wanganui, who has been holidaying in Auckland and Rotorua, passed through the city during last week, en route to her home in Taihape. Miss McGwinn leaves to take a position in Gisborne next week. Miss Z. Campbell, who is shortly to be married, was presented by members of the Wanganui Herald staff on Friday afternoon with an electro-plated tea service, the gift being accompanied with every good wish for her future happiness. Miss Campbell's future home will be in Auckland. • • • - A return visit to Auckland will be made on March 30 by Mrs. N. K. Edwards, of London. Mrs. Edwards is a prominent member of the headquarters staff of the Toe H League of Women Helpers, is a brilliant speaker, and has travelled widely. She is also a keen member of the Victoria League and of the EnglishSpeaking Union. Mrs. Edwards will leave Auckland by the Monterey on April 4 for Canada, en route for London.
