THE PRIME MINISTER

APPRECIATION OF SERVICE WELLINGTON, March 16. A meeting of the Parliamentary Labour Party last night recorded its sincere appreciation of the services of the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, to the party and the country, and recorded its continued and complete confidence in him as Leader of the Government. The meeting also expressed its gratitude at Mr. Savage’s restoration to health, and pledged itself to work wholeheartedly for the return of Hie Government and himself as Prime Min ister at the general election.
