KAWHIA 'PLANE ACCIDENT
PILOT’S LACK OF EXPERIENCE [ Per Press Association. ) WELLINGTON. March 18. The finding that the 'plane accident near Kawhia on February 27, when P. D. Smith, Air Force trainee, was injured, was due to a condition of perplexity in the mind of a pilot young in experience, who encountered a combination of conditions with which he was not familiar, was confirmed to-day by the Minister in Charge of the Air Department. Hon. F. Jones. He announced that in the circumstances he did not propose to set up a board of inquiry to report further.
