THE WANGANUI ELECTORATE NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES At a meeting of the executive of the Wanganui National Party, held on Tuesday night, it. was decided, in view of the great interest that was being taken in the nomination or candidates for the National Party in Wanganui, (he closing date for which is March 31, J 938, that it should be made clear to the electors (hat. thi. executive lakes no part in the nomination of candidates. Any two financial members of the parly are empowered Io nominate any person as candidate provided of course that he, too, is a financial member. There is no limit to the number of nominations to be made. Indeed, it. is the policy of the party that all candidates desiring to stand in opposition to Socialism have an equal right to be nominated and to submit themselves for re-election. The executive takes no part in the sponsoring of any particular nominee until the candidate is selected by the members of the party.
