MIDGET CAR RACING
"SPEED TO SPARE.” "Speed to Spare,’ ’coming to the Regent Theatre on Wednesday, introduces to the screen midget car racing, in addition to the big-time track thrills. This off-spring of the fullsized speedway 'is fast becoming enormously popular and takes no back seat as a provider of thrills. The background of the picture is interesting, the story is enthralling, and the action is swift and dramatic. The racing scenes contain tremendous suspense, and, above all, the story concerns two tender lovers . . . one of a man for a woman . . . the other of a man for his brother. “Speed to Spare” is dramatic dynamite with a thrill in every reel. It is packed with adventure, filled with action, and has just enough romance to give the story flavour. With some hearty comedy thrown in for relief, it is a picture for “youths” of all ages and lovers of rapid-fire entertainment. Charles Quigley, in the leading role, is given excellent support by Eddie Nugent, Dorothy Wilson, Patricia Farr and Gene Morgan.
