LONDON WOOL SALES
BETTER DEMAND EVIDENT. LATE RATES MAINTAINED. Received Feb. 2, 5.5 p.m. LONDON. Feb. 1. At the wool sales 8696 bales were offered, including 1542 from New Zealand, and 5993 were sold. There was a belter general demand for the moderate selection offered, but Merinos were frequently withdrawn. Crossbreds sold actively. Late --- maintained.
