SLIP OF SHINGLE

THREE WORKMEN INJURED (Own Correspondent) BATEA, Feb. 2. Three young men were buried when a slip of shingle occurred at the Pariroa pit, Kakaramea, on Tuesday. Frank Chard suffered a broken thigh and ankle, Ronald Clino broken ribs, and William Clino escaped with minor injuries. The two former were conveyed to the Patea Hospital. The men were working for Mr A. J. Chard, under contract to the Patea County Council to obtain shingle.
