Condemnation of the attitude of the waterside workers in delaying lhe handling of cargo on the wharve& by using obstructionist and go-slow tactacs during wet weather resulting in increased costs and losses to producers, was expressed by members of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce to-night. It was stated that the Government overtures to the watersiders had proved abortive and agreements with the shipping companies and harbour boards had been broken. A motion endorsing the decision of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand to ask lor a royal commission to be set up to investigate the matter was carried unanimously.
