Mr and Mrs W. McA. Duncan, Ruanui, are on a visit to Auckland. Mr and Mrs J. H. Salmon are Wanganui visitors to Auckland. Miss E. Smith. Koromiko Road, has left to spend a holiday in Auckland. Mr and Mrs R. Spurcde, Inglewood, wcic- in Wanganui this week. Miss A. Quin, St. John’s Hill, is holidaying in New Plymouth. Miss Lindsay Hunter, Fordell, is holidaying in Hawke’s Bay. Mr and Mrs G. M. Currie, Kai Iwi, are visiting Auckland. Mr and Mrs W. Chainey are Wanganui visitors to Auckland. Mrs A. Elliot and Miss N. Elliot are on a motoring tour in the north. Miss Beth Mcßrearty was a Wanganui visitor to New Plymouth for the races. Mr and Mrs Jack Sullivan left by car yesterday morning for Whakatane. Mrs C. Wilson, of Te Kuiti, is the guest of her mother, Mrs J. Bramwell, Feilding. Mrs G. Laurenson, of Kimbolton, has been the guest of Mrs F. Beard, Carlton Avenue. Mr and Mrs A. Muller, Durie Hili, are on a motor tour of the South Island. Mrs Proude, of Waverley, has had as her guest for Christmas, her mother, Mrs Joseph Morrison, of Wanganui. * « * * I Mrs. F. Papple, and Master Fred i Papple, of Adelaide, are at present holidaying in Wanganui, and are staying at “Atholbank” flats.
I Mr and Mrs T P. Benton ol Whangarei, arrived in Wanganui yestcry to spend a holiday, and are staying with Mr and Mrs J. W. Dow, Balgownie Avenue. ENGAGEMENT. The engagement is announced of Grace, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Kendrick, of Marton, to Norman Clifford, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Windleburn, f 9 Wilson Street. Wanganui.
