EIGHT BEADING SOVIET OFFICIALS Received Dec. 20, 10.20 p.m. MOSCOW, Dec. 20. Eight leading Soviet officials have been, tried and executed for high treason and espionage. They were Yenukidze, former secretary to the central executive committee, Leon Karakhan, former Foreign Commissar and Ambassador to Turkey, Qukerman, former chief of the western department of the Foreign Office, Steiger, unofficial head of the Soviet protocol, Orakhelashvila, former chief of the Georgian Home Office secret police, Shevaldiev, head of the Communist party in the Azov region, Larin, Communist leader in the Rostoff region, and Metelev, who is unidentified.
