“SOCIAL TAXATION”
ARREST OF ALLEGED COMMUNIST BURGLARY CHARGES LAID. Received Dec. 17, 8.20 p.m. LOS ANGELES, Dec. 16. The police arrested Arthur Kent, an alleged Communist leader, his wife, and Tom Johnson, an official of the Committee for Industrial Organisation, and charged them with burglary of property valued at many thousands of dollars taken from scores of Beverley Hills homes. Kent declared that lhe stolen property represented "compulsory social taxation;”
