THE CHRISTMAS RECESS [ British Official Wirelees.] RUGBY, Dec. 18. Referring to the motion for the adjournment of the House of Commons for the Christmas recess to be moved on Thursday, the Prime Minister stated that it would contain the usual provisions to empower the Speaker to call the House together at an earlier date than February 1 if such course was considered necessary in the public interest.
