LARGEST ONE-TREE ORCHARD

FREDERICTON, N. 8., Canada.— What is said to be the most prolific “one-tree orchard” in the world flourishes on the farm of Frank A. Good, near Fredericton. Sixty varieties of apples and a species of pear were grown on the tree this year as the result of extensive and continued grafting experiments. Mr Good is continuing his experiments, and hopes to make his record still more outstanding. Fie is interested also in producing apples from other kinds of trees. He has a young apple tree growing from the trunk of a hawthorn, and another that grows from a mountain ash.
