Snooker “Discovery.”
The professional snooker championship in England will have a newcomer this season in Dick Laws, a Chiswick youth, who is considered to be a real (“find.” In fact, a number of West End sportsmen are quite willing to back him on level terms against any but Davis and Lindrum. Playing with a borrowed cue on a strange table recently, Laws made a break of 93 against Con Stanbury, the Canadian. This is only one of numerous breaks he has made near the century mark.
