THE GARRISON BAND

TO-MORROW NIGHT’S CONCERT An open-air concert will be given by the Wanganui Garrison Band tomorrow night (Sunday) on Cook’s Gardens, commencing at 8.15, under the baton of Mr R. Francis, L.R.S.M. The band has been practising assiduously for the New Zealand contest to be held at Palmerston North in Febraury. It will endeavour to defend its championship at that contest, and is reported to be in line form. All the contest music will be played to-morrow night, including the quartettes.
