WANGANUI CENTRE CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT. ALTERATION IN SECTIONS. A slight alteration has been necessitated in the section draw for the Wanganui Bowling Club’s Christmas tournament. Owing to an oversight Kirkwood’s entry was omitted and as Brass, also of St. John’s, was willing to get a team to make the even number, the alteration was necessary to make the club representation even. One Wanganui team had to be drawn from section B replaced by one of the late etries. The fresh draw puts McKay's team in C section, No. 11, and Kirkwood also in C section, No. 12. Brass replaces McKay in B section I No. 9. ST. JOHN’S CLUB ONE-DAY TOURNAMENT The St. John’s Bowling Club has been indeed unfortunate in striking three wet days for their tournaments but they were lucky in being able to complete yesterday’s tournament despite the inclemency of the weather. Brown 6. Second Round Gaunt 17, Penn 8. Harle 19, Caird 6. Meek 16, W. Brown 7. Munro 11, Benefield 4. Harris 17, Hutchins 5. Crawford 13, Hewetson 7. Third Round Gaunt 12, Crawford 9. Mr Munro, in reply, said he hoped to bring his rink along to the next tournament and echoed the president’s sentiments regarding the weather.
