ST. ANDREW'S SUNDAY SCHOOL The annual prize-giving of the St. , Andrew’s Presbyterian Sunday School, conducted by the Rev. E. R. E. Ross, was held on Sunday afternoon, when prizes were awarded as follows: Maxwell Memorial Prizes.—Shirley Dallison, Bible; Peter Milne, Bible*; Marston McGorrery, Bible; TKly Wall, “The Children’s Hour.” Merit Prizes.—Miss E. Wall’s class: Tiliy Wall (Mary Boyne Memorial prize) 1, Merle Heginbotham 2, Shirley Dallison 3. Miss L. Walker's class; Mavis Stewart 1, Bessie McDonald 2, Alma Southcombe 3. Miss E. Castle’s class: Joyce Southcombe 1, Sylvia Stewart 2, Maureen Thomas 3. Mr F. Hickford’s class: James Smith 1, Vernon Milne 2, Milton Moirison 3. R. Wall’s class: Bobbie Milne 1, Marston McGorrery 2, Bruce Walker 3. In the primary class every child received a prize and there were eight special prizes awarded for attendance and merit. prizes. During the afternoon the Rev. P. A. Stanley made a presentation to Miss P. Graham, who is resigning from her position as Sunday School teacher. Mr Stanley spoke with gratitude of Miss Graham’s seven years’ untiring work in the Sunday School and stated that she would be greatly missed both by her fellow teachers and the children. Prizes were presented as follows: - Miss Graham's senior ciass: Specials, Robert Quayle (good work, church and Sunday School attendance), Larry Tallott, Colin Tallott, Betty Belton, Barbara Belton. Prizes for good work: Enid Lupton, June Lupton, Esme Walker. Prize for helpfulness: Marjorie Halliday. Prize for attendance: Barbara Brown.
