PATEA
LAWN TENNIS At a meeting of the Patea Lawn Tennis Club committee on Monday, Mr. J. D. McTamney, presiding, urgent attention was given to the fixing of hours of play for school members, in view of the large membership, and after considerable discussion it was decided that school members be restrained from playing after 5 p.m. on week-days, and that they not be allowed the use of the courts on Saturday, Sundays, and other club days, and further that they only be allowed to play on courts Nos. 4 and 5. The necessity for moving off the courts promptly after completing a set is to be drawn to members’ notice. By the end of the week or early next week it is hoped to have the ladder arranged.
