‘Soul and Body” was the subject o£ the lesson-sermon in all Churches ot Christ, Scientist, on Sunday, November 21. The golden text was Psalms 62:5, “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.” Among the citations which comprised the lesson-sermon were the following from the Bible “For we walk by faith, not by sight; we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” (II Cor. 5:7, 8.). Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health With Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy, “The evidence of the existence of Spirit, Soul, is palpable only to spiritual sense, and is not apparent to the material senses, which cognise only that which is the opposite of Spirit.” (p. 359).
