DUCHESS THEATRE
“Swing Time,” screening to-night at the Duchess Theatre as the latest song-and-dance special for Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, presents the co-stars in a spectacular production based on a double trouble romance. Featuring Victor Moore, Helen Broderick and Eric Blore in laugh-snaring roles, besides Betty Furness and Georges Metaxa, the RKO Radio film reveals two young ladies giving Astaire an ardent leap year chase. Tuned to six Jerome Kern melodies, “Swing Time” traces the circumstances which make hint devise fantastic extremes to rid himself of one of his two admirers.
